Okay, so I found this pumpkin spice pancake mix at SuperTarget--really good btw, even if one always cooks pancakes way, way too dark like I do. :B But! Wanted something else to top it other than just plain maple syrup or the maple syrup/melted butter thing I saw on Food Network once.
Hence: 1 8oz tub of the brown sugar & cinnamon Philadelphia cream cheese (softened), 1 tablespoon butter (softened), ~1-2 tablespoons real maple syrup--mix together well. Mix in about 1/3 to 1/2 a jar of no sugar fruit flavored applesauce (I did this strawberry applesauce with massive apple chunks I found at one of the stores, zomg it was awesome). Blob on top of pancakes; bask in win \o/ I don't think I'm gonna do just plain syrup again. Muuuuch more awesome. :9

Orrrrrr maybe I just won't sleep at all? Tagged my writing (the little there is of it) over the past few years/fandoms, so at least it was productive I guess. :| I dunno. Maybe it's worth trying a half hour nap, even if to keep the husband from freaking out that I pulled an all-nighter (it annoys him, though I'm honestly not sure why). Eh.

The trouble with the headache earlier was having to shut off the lights and nap after a bunch of ibuprofen to finally get it to ease. Hence \o/ up again, yeehah. Have to be up at 6 so I can have the car, should be awesome. Least Mom's used to our pre-grocery shopping Starbucks stop, and in fact encourages such.

Sleep schedule is once again messed up. Frustrates me that I have to watch myself like a hawk to keep from it getting so bad--never used to be like this, not until the last few years. Bad enough that 2-3 is my norm, but was up until close to 5 last night. Fffff. -__- Also, monster sinus headache doesn't help.

masterlist415, Sam/Dean, R. Continuation of the 'handwritten' notes and doodles between Dean and Sam post a curse. So makes me laugh. SO. \o/ It's adorable, and the Sam and Dean voices come through *perfectly*. I can't imagine their handwriting and caps emphasis/punctuation/abbreviation styles not looking like this now. And it's hot. ;D
Am definitely remembering the master post link http://masterlist415.livejournal.com/72 293.html because it claims there is a 'next up' titled "I am a God, Admit It" and I cannot waaaaaaait \o/
You wouldn't be able to tell from this post that I spent most of today emoemoemo. Something like this just makes me too amused and happy, ya know?

Back on the first of November, I wrote/posted a poem called Calavera Road. Got some really nice responses to it, felt really pretty happy about it (and surprisingly, still do--rare for me to be like that).
But I received the absolute best compliment ever, truly ever, when someone on my friends list messaged me and asked if they could use the last two lines for a tattoo. This just blows me away even now, that something I wrote means enough to someone that they'd keep it with them like that, permanent, ink in skin. I know people do quote tattoos--but of major literary and historical figures. It's an awed, amazed feeling to think that someone'd do that from writing of mine.
Anyway, they had it done, and posted an image of it :D Coolest thing ever. http://poppymoon3.livejournal.com/9 205.html Sounds like there'll be touch-ups, but I think it's really lovely already.
Seriously, coolest thing ever. If I can ever manage to get published in any form, I don't know if it would feel as wow as seeing something like that. Thanks, Poppy :) I owe ya a hug if we ever run into each other IRL.

I don't care what it says about my tastes, or lack thereof, but I will always, always massively love MCR's Black Parade CD. Still bummed that I never saw them perform it live. I should give up and just chunk the whole thing on my Spn iTunes playlist, because *flails at it* some bits fit the boys and the story too freaking well. Sort of want to write an albumfic sort of thing to it, or at least a series of somethings inspired by the tracks.
Still really want to sing the title track at the top of my lungs while driving with the windows down, too, every time I hear it. /lamelamelame
Interesting personal news from a family member when they called to arrange Christmas stuff. Not bad, but sort of 'whoa' and 'wow' type. Also gave a lot of good advice on finding new career direction and career transitioning that they've gotten from a life coach--some good websites and books to look into.

I. Have found my favorite story in the history of the universe. \o/ Yeah, still catching up on this summer's BigBangs, probably will be until I die or something, but eh. BUT. Mix Supernatural and (original) Star Wars? OH HELL YES. Sam with powers? Sam/Dean with Sam-powers making for an interesting bond between the two? Oh hell yes again! It's a freaking awesome blending of the two universes, marvelous work with the characters, and all sorts of action and excitement and I swear I was seriously \o/ ♥ \o/ ♥ \o/ ♥ \o/ ♥ \o/ ♥ \o/ ♥ through the whole thing. Freddie Mercury, no ifs ands or buts. Seriously, it kills me that I really became besotted with Queen (after being fond of their music since *gradeschool*) just as he died. Listening to non-GW-soundtrack Two Mix makes me incredibly, incredibly nostalgic for some reason. One of those dumb "everything was so awesome back then" feelings, even though it wasn't all that. Man, how I loved their music like crazy.
Was introduced to Wild Turkey Rare Breed bourbon by Greg, only drank a very, very small amount. Stuff is *strong*, burns like woah, but was...kinda not bad. Wish I'd tried a bit more mixed in with some Coke or something.
No Army of Darkness for Thanksgiving (adding it to my rewatch list along with Boondock Saints and the Lord of the Rings trilogy), but did watch some episodes of Quark (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077066/) which was fun and Prisoners of the Lost Universe (http://www.scifimoviepage.com/prisoner s.html) which was lousy, oh Richard Hatch, how I am /facepalming at you.
4-something and I need to be up at 6. Uh, whoops.
Ooh ooh ooh...past Thanksgiving means finally letting myself listen to holiday music, and starting the book I got a month or so back and saved for the right time: The Dreaded Feast: Writers On Enduring the Holidays. Hoping to only do a couple essays each day to make it last all the way up through Christmas, just for the hell of it.
(What, Lain soundtrack music *and* X-Japan, too, now? iTunes must seriously want me to be stewing about ca. 2000 until I get all maudlin or something. Yeesh.)

Cool beans, time to get smacked upside the head by some hormonemo, and time to start omnoming the ibuprofen. Tomorrow will be the usual trip to friend's place for the usual holiday foods, in which I'm sure she'll have me make deviled eggs (she already sent over the stuff to do the hummingbird cake and frosting, of course she never, ever lets me buy the ingredients). Not sure what bad movies Greg'll show, or if there'll be the traditional Army of Darkness.
Anyway, that which makes me happy to counter the hormonemo:

Also discovered Bad Religion's Infection, which is very (imo) s4 Sam&Dean, and Cage the Elephant's Back Against the Wall which seems very Sam to me. Need to add both to my amz wishlist, and flail until Christmas. Need need need.
*http://mickeym.livejournal.com/1151 238.html One of the BigBangs from this summer I hadn't gotten to until now. This Course We Plotted, J2 (RPS), lovely, really nice building up of friendship and relationship, sweet and fun and gave me warm fuzzes.

1. Why the hell am I still up? The world may never know.
2. Up was *awesooooooome*. I am so, so kicking myself for not having seen it in the theater, because it must have been just utterly amazing like that. But ohman, I know the DVD was Anj/Gina/Kelly's birthday gift to James, but this was like my perfect movie. Bittersweet, while so adorable and happy, funny, moving, weird, freaky, gorgeous, meaningful, bizarre, and just utterly cute. ♥ And such heart, personality, and soul to the characters--not to mention, egads, writers that can actually get 'kid' personality right? Gasp :o Not to mention animal. X3 I think "I do not like the cone of shame" is going to remain stuck in my head for a very long time. ♥
3. James' DnD game today (yesterday?), and at one point the old Champions system got brought up and I was hit with the most massive nostalgia for it. I miss superhero games, and I miss that game system--you could do anything with it, not just heroes stuff. College gaming *was* Champions in our group, and I wish I wasn't the only one who misses getting to tinker with it. : / I liked the feel of the mechanics.
4. WoW has added a Thanksgivingesque holiday to the game, which naturally features: the cooking and eating of themed foods, costuming, bonking other players with food items, a gadget that turns rogues into turkeys, slaying masses of wild turkey critters (sadly not the rogues), and yes, of course, an achievement based around going to the opposing faction's capitals to sit at their special holiday table so gankers can kill people just trying to complete their holiday meta-achievements. Blizzard never learns. >_< But I want the turkey pet, sooo.... Oh, and...it's the fifth anniversary of the retail release of WoW today. 5 years (plus some including the time I spent in that open beta before it all). Criminy. Looking back in the archives, all the names I picked that day were Naruto-based -___- Oh, self. *facepalm* And oh self, how you sort of haven't changed, except for the fandom.
5. http://longsufferingly.livejournal.c om/70506.html This is the most awesome ficlet/coda/crack/wtf-ery ever for 5x08. How the beans did I not see it until tonight. Had me laughing 'til my eyes bled, or at least until it was hard to breathe, or something.
